What's the difference between Shuttle Cart Racking and Drive-In Racking?
Drive-In Racking requires a forklift to enter the lane to place or retrieve every pallet, which is slower and increases the risk of rack damage. Shuttle Cart Racking uses a remote-controlled cart to do that work, so forklifts only load and unload from the aisle, cutting handling time and collision risk significantly.
Can Shuttle Cart Racking work with FIFO inventory?
Yes. Shuttle Cart Racking supports true first-in-first-out rotation when set up with loading on one side and unloading on the other, which is a major advantage over drive-in racking, which is generally LIFO-only.
