Built to Last

Constructed from hot rolled structural channels, I-beams, and HSS tubes, Structural Racking is engineered to withstand the wear and tear of the most demanding conditions, making it ideal for cold storage, freezers, and distribution facilities where durability is paramount. While the upfront investment is higher than Roll Formed Racking, the long-term payoff is substantial: fewer damaged components to replace and less downtime for repairs make Structural Racking the more economical choice over time. Impact Resistant

The unique shape of Structural Racking's columns is designed to minimize lift truck damage, concentrating steel at the front face corners to reduce the likelihood of deformation from everyday impacts. When repairs are needed, the thick structural sections allow for efficient, cost-effective rework using standard cutting and welding equipment (rework must be completed by fully qualified personnel). For added protection, Structural Racking is available with three leg options: straight leg with a bull nose protector, cant leg base, and recessed leg base, ensuring increased safety and durability in high-traffic warehouse settings.

Hybrid Racking Options

Structural Racking can be integrated with roll formed components to create Hybrid Racking, a more economical alternative that combines the best features of both styles. This versatility makes it an appealing option for companies seeking cost-effective yet durable storage solutions.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Structural Racking used for?
Structural Racking is a heavy-duty pallet racking system built from hot rolled structural channels, I-beams, and HSS tubes. It's designed for demanding environments like cold storage, freezers, and distribution facilities, as well as high-rise systems, heavy-traffic areas, and high-abuse warehouse conditions where durability is critical.
How does Structural Racking reduce lift truck damage?
Structural Racking columns use a unique shape that concentrates steel at the front face corners, reducing the likelihood of deformation from everyday lift truck impacts. If damage does occur, the thick structural sections allow for efficient, cost-effective rework using standard cutting and welding equipment.
What leg options are available for Structural Racking?
Structural Racking is available with three leg options: straight leg with a bull nose protector, cant leg base, and recessed leg base. Each option is designed to increase safety and durability in high-traffic warehouse settings.
Can Structural Racking be combined with other racking systems?
Yes. NAS Group can integrate Structural Racking with roll formed components to create Hybrid Racking, a more economical alternative that combines the durability of structural steel with the cost efficiency of Roll Formed Racking.
Is Structural Racking more expensive than other pallet racking systems?
Upfront, yes. The initial investment in Structural Racking is typically higher than Roll Formed Racking. Over time, however, it's often the more economical choice due to fewer damaged components needing replacement and less downtime for repairs.
